Dakota Gourmet, Wahpeton, ND, and SIGCO Sun Products, Inc., Breckenridge, MN, were recently acquired by Stake Technology, Toronto, Canada, which is now called SunOpta, Inc. The acquired businesses will operate under the Sunrich division and will be led by Allan Roth, president of Sunrich’s grains and soy products group. Sunrich will also extend its ingredients and processing expertise into the sunflower products industry and offer an expanded snack product line through its existing distribution channels, as well as to the school and foodservice marketplaces.
